Testing trick: open Zoom on another computer as wellĪ trick for those who want to try all of the other settings at the time of a black Zoom screen. At least on my Medion Akoya E2228T, the black blinking came at the same time, after some minutes and then getting stronger, as if I was in a meeting. You can just go to: Settings -> "Video" (where a video of you will show up) or choose: Settings -> "Background & Filter", since there is a test video running as well. Luckily, you can find out the right settings without being in any meeting. But please check this yourself, this might depend on your laptop model. It is likely that "Direct3D11 Flip Mode" is the automatically chosen setting that causes the blinking Zoom screen. If you get in trouble with limited memory after some time, as I do when I record the meeting with an additional program (error at the recording program: "out of memory"), you should try "GDI", even if the quality is low. All three worked without any blinking in black.
